The average household income in the U.S. is less than $40,000 a year USD. You
guys make a lot more than we do on average to help with the added cost of
living in Europe. A $100,000 a year income here in the U.S. won't make you very
rich, but it will put you *well* above the national average and allow more
freedom than most get.

You are exactly correct!! Figuring that the Euro is currently about
$1.27 American, the prices are about equal. Stevens Creek wants $62,000 for
theirs in U.S. Dollars. If they would pay me my $28,000 for my 999 S420,
and come down to about $59,000 on theirs, I'd make the reach for it.
Driving it was completely different than my S Class. And I love the
interior. But the price may just be prohibitive. I'm sure they will sell
it. There aren't many around in Northern California, USA. But I just
can't make myself reach for the price.

Because there is an S-8 with 22,000 miles at a local dealer that I don't
think will stay there very long, which I would love to buy if I could free
up enough funds.
Plus, I'm trying not to eat donuts. At my age, they tend to stick with
you. : - )

Are any of those pictures online?
Interiour pictures?
I drove (well I sat next to the diver) an BMW 740 diesel today and although
I dont like the 7 ext. and int., that V8 diesel engine is nice. And almost
running unnoticable (sp?) and the gearshifts are very very smooth !
Nice weekend everybody

Not that I know, but it looked like massive old-Russian-style limousine.
Hard to describe, but it didn't please eye and looked pretty big,
perhaps even bigger and clumsier than it really is.

No. Remains a mystery.

Have you considered 500-serie? The same engine & gears should be
available there, and the car looks pretty nice after a while. I know it
divides opinions, but it's a BMW
