How to reprogram a key
I found the following: http://www.audiforums.com/m_18741/tm.htm
which sounds potentially very interesting, but I can not understand it. Is this a procedure to program the remote control wireless or to program the immobiliser chip? And in the described sequence, which key is the one being trained and which key is the one which was already married? Tony |

The car is "teached" to accept the this serial number. I doubt anything ever is "written" to the chip inside the key. But will this procedure work if you have an immobiliser? When I got a new key the dealer had to use a "VAG Tool" to read a code from the car, send the code to Germany, wait for a replay by fax and then put the code he got from Germany into the "VAG Tool". (Old IR key, not folding key) Jone |
