audi a4 cd changers - symphony plugged into a 1997 a4
hi there - i saw this listed on ebay -
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...tem=3093838883 was wondering if anyone has a clue of whether i can unplug the regular DElta CC tape deck that the car comes with and plug in this unit. i dont mind doing a little soldering, i just want to know if its possible. the car is a 1997 and the proprietary cd changer for it is ridiculously expensive. i was thinking this might be a simpler, more cost effective solution. thanx |

yup - i kind of picked up on that. but the seller is stating it from the
point of view of someone who wants a plug and play experience. i on the other hand am willing to put a bit of effort and soldering, etc in order to get this piece to work with my car. the radio does not use a canbus interface, and neither does mine, so i do think it will come down to just wiring and mounting it, the latter of which ill get done by someone who is good with that stuff. im just asking about the wiring part - ive researched as much as i could, and the wiring schematics for a delta cc to symphony 1 were provided to me from a reasonably good source. i was just wonderin if anyone knew first hand or had experience doing this. cheers G "Henry" <dj@124btinternet.com> wrote in message news:c6vefu$p0a$1@hercules.btinternet.com... > it does state for 1999 onwards....... > > > "Mr DJ" <hitman247@hotmail.com> wrote in message > news:40d920d31f7734e3f18e994bdbfb48a8@news.teranew s.com... > > hi there - i saw this listed on ebay - > > http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...tem=3093838883 > > > > was wondering if anyone has a clue of whether i can unplug the regular > DElta > > CC tape deck that the car comes with and plug in this unit. i dont mind > > doing a little soldering, i just want to know if its possible. the car is > a > > 1997 and the proprietary cd changer for it is ridiculously expensive. i > was > > thinking this might be a simpler, more cost effective solution. > > > > thanx > > > > > > |

also on a sidenote, i saw someone else's post for a symphony 1 for sale,
with no security code included. is there a way by taking the radio into the dealership that this code could be retrieved? Yes you can. The dealership can look up the security code for you.

Re: audi a4 cd changers - symphony plugged into a 1997 a4
well whats the point of a security code then? some guy could go steal a
radio, bring it to a dealership, and get a code. man - cus i saw one on ebay for about 50$, and i dint buy it cus of the missing code - that and the seller was a who dint return my emails. oh well. c'est la vie "cagas" <sgwa76@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:ad2031d0.0405101222.54d25f5f@posting.google.c om... > Yes you can.
