when it does it again spray abs modulator on side of abs pump with freezer spray available radio spares or plumbing shop if fault goes away after 1 or 2 minutes the abs modulator can be be repaired at about 200 dollars or home fix if you know a good old style watch repairer ? does vag com give cannot communicate with abs and do you get abs alarm eventually if not fault could crankshaft position sensor email for details to remove modulator nb car can be used whilst waiting for repair please post

i have tried on my audi 2.4 1998 and yes the abs modulator has an intermitant thermal fault now sorted forgot to say in last post please let me know if abs alarm comes on as well as indeed mine did

Just a follow up double ta for that diagnostic the other month. Got the
ign switch ordered and have been driving around since with it in the
glovebox, just not had time to fit it. New Years Day I lost just about
everything electrical as the switch had finally failed. Luckily I'd got
the switch, so no waiting a week for the part to turn up (with new year
closures and all that) so a quick favour pulled & I'd got it fitted by
mid afternoon.
