A6 service opinions?

Hi

Bought a second hand 2000 A6 1.9 TDi 6 months ago. It's last service
was 65k and the service indicator has just come on at 87k (variable
servicing). Anyway, got a few quotes as follows (all in uk pounds).

Audi dealership 330
Audi dealership 430
Independent Audi specialist 300
Local garage 160

So my question. Is it worth paying the extra to go to the Audi
dealerships or specialists? Its the usual fuel, oil, pollen filters
etc. that need doing, cambelt was done at 65k. I plan to keep it for a
good few years so a FASH won't do much to the resale value.

The local garage is a reputable one and they said they've done
servicing on Audi's before.

Thoughts?

The Audi Specialist gets my vote over a local garage.

Re: A6 service opinions?

Take it to the local garage, I've a 1996 A4, serviced it at dealership for
the first time for about £300, never again.
Had it for 5 years and (apart from the hopeless suspension)the engine has
never put a foot wrong and that's
with 4 "local garage" services.
