try 2003 to 2005 if you want the B6 platform...i've never owned a 2002 so i'm saying this based on what I heard on forums...

I've owned a 2004 for the past 1.5 years myself and I haven't had any major problems...EXCEPT lol

1) valve seal gasket had to be changed
2) random bulbs go out (2 so far...one being a headlight)
3) hood strut failed
4) rust on the driver side door panel (the bottom piece) thankfully it was a small piece that could be removed and replaced

that's all I could think of now lol

but i'm glad I don't have any major electrical flaws like i've heard on 2002's
