Here is a 99 A6 Quattro for sale. I did all the control arms/ball joints and Bilstein shocks up front in this thing about a thousand k before the transmission blew up. It is in limp mode right now (stuck in 4th gear). It will move.

Luckily, in this deal, you get the majority of a second car (an SGI write-off) that has a transmission, along with about every other spare part you could want. I was going to swap trannies, but the extent of my mechanical ability ended with the 80's, so this is just beyond me.

Car has 173 000 k on it. Parts car has about 165 000 if I remember right. The good car is in very good shape, and with a little work, would be a great car. Super comfortable and the smoothest car I've ever driven.
