Sunroof stuck open

We recently purchased a 2007 A8l. During the last rain storm noticed that the sunroof leaked in the car. Found a post about cleaning the drains. My husband did that successfully, but now the sunroof won't close. We removed the overhead console with the sunroof switch and lighting. Water did get into the console. All the lighting works, but the sunroof switch doesn't. We checked all the fuses. We found the crank to manually crank the motor, but can't locate the motor. It is not under the overhead console. Can someone please tell me how to close it? The owners manual was not in the car.

The owner manual will show how to crank it closed. Maybe you can find a used or new one online. Go to google , type in your car year and type and problem. May take some different wording to get instructions. Also find a auto parts store and buy a Haynes manual. They come in handy. Good luck
