My new '13 A7

6 Attachment(s)
On Feb 09 , 2013 after 2 years I departed with my beloved 2011 S3 on to my new 2013 Premium A7 with Sline.

I was lucky to find one on the ground that had all the options minus the night vision and B&O which I did not need. Otherwise it has all the bell and whistles.

Given the recent weather it wasn't possible to take a clean shot so excuse the salt marks. The car is pictured with my 18" RS4 replica winter tires. The tint is 20% back and 35% front with OEM cross bars.

I am extremely happy with this car in every aspect. Most importantly Paul from Owasco Audi made this purchase easily the easiest car purchase of my life. Not only is he extremely responsive and knowledge about the brand but he actually takes the time to go above and beyond in everything he does wherever he can. I highly highly recommend dealing with him and this dealership next time you're in the market for your next Audi.

Cheers.

Wow! It's beautiful congrats!!

So how does it compare to the old S4?

Re: My new '13 A7

Thank you Mike:

Sharing the engine with the S4 really makes it comparable. Though it's slightly less powerful (310 vs 333) since the troque is in the same place and the same amount, the get up and go power is the same as the S4. The ride is much more comfortable though the Sline shares the same sports suspension as the S4. What I do miss is the roaring exhaust but overall aside from it being quieter the rides are very smilar.

It does become an animal when in dynamic sports mode I just wish the steering got a little stiffer. I am enjoying the added safety features very much. I am still getting used to the rear end of the car but it makes it unique I really love the wide stance the car has.

Does it feel a lot bigger compared to the S4?

I absolutely love the look of it! I'm going to try and get a loaner next month when I go up to Edmonton for service.

When you have some time post up a few more interior shots!

I was going to write you to see what you replaced your S4 with and now I know. Looks amazing. Post some more pics when the weather gets nicer!

Though the car is wider/longer, on the inside is much more spacious but driving it, the drive an maneuverability feels exactly like the S4, it took me less than half an hour to get used to the feel of the car.

I'll take some interior shots first chance I get.

Thanks Kevin - I'll post some nicer cleaner shots in April when the OEM rims are on and the car is more presentable.

Congrats on the A7!

Let me know when you're ready to do the exhaust. I'll give you a sweet deal on the Stasis set up I had on my A6.

Hey great hearing from you. Congrats on your S4, I had no idea you switched so quickly from the A6.

Why the switch? I'll send you a PM

This time the car is a little cleaner + now with the OEM 20" summer rims.
Thank you Tire Connection for doing an amazing job with the callipers at an even more amazing price.

Nice ride! Lots of these around Calgary already. I think it will become a very popular model.
I really like the look with the painted calipers. Thinking of doing the same with our new Q5. I really like the performance of the 3.0T as well.

Re: My new '13 A7

Thanks Jay007 - I am really enjoying the car I just wish the steering got a little tighter in dynamic mode (similar to my S4) otherwise it's perfect.

Oh and I also wish the self parking option was available here in Canada as it is in the US.

This car is just amazing :) I love the rims which are just suitable in size. Good Luck! Any modifications in plans?

Re: My new '13 A7

Thanks man - So far I've customized the exhaust (sounds amazing) plus an intake plus spacers and some minor appearance changes. I am quite happy with the engine so most likely this is it.

i know, old thread resurrection...
anyway, i am considering ditching my e39 m5 and getting back into an audi, and am strongly considering an A7. Do you still have yours? how do/did you like it? reliability? driving dynamics?

thanks!
