I agree, e-tron owners are all good people with fab taste in cars. =)
Driving in Hyb-hold doesn't charge the battery. What it does, I'm told, is try to sustain/conserve the battery level you have for use later on. For instance, in London where there's a congestion charge e-tron owners can "hold" their battery level for use when they get into the city.
Hyb-hold will use the ICE mostly and regen when braking. It will shut off the ICE under certain conditions.
I believe most of your drive had you coasting so the ICE stopped and the cars' computer decided it didn't need to use the battery either. This car can coast for a good distance under the right circumstances.
Personally, I try to avoid Hyb-hold and charge as they mainly use the ICE (consuming more fuel).
Us e-tron owners are a very rare group. I've heard only 80 or so will be available in Canada this year. That's about the same (maybe less) than the R8 when it 1st came out!

hello folks, just got delivery of my a3 etron. pretty excited to be driving it after waiting almost 6 months for delivery. only downside - annoyed about the lack of MMI / SIM functionality in Canada - would be very interested to know if anyone has learned more about ETAs for us Canucks? main reason I got etron was for commute - gets a ton of goodness in Lower Mainland - including ability to use the HOV lane when driving alone! cheers

The e-tron is a great little car and will put a smile on your face for many reasons.
What trim level and/or options did you get?
If you have the mean, have a 240v outlet installed. You'll find that it's such a convenience to be able to have a full charge in about 3 hours. It's been a curse for me as I find myself driving mine more often (9,400 km since March '16 & only 20k /yr). But I love this car!
