For my 1000th post...
I'd like to announce that I am leaving the TTS and Q5 behind for a 2012 A6 3.0 TFSI! I know, I know...WTF?!
I spent a fair amount of time in a 2006 A6 4.2 over the winter and really grew to appreciate the longer wheelbase and how it's complimented by extra power. (I almost bought the '06!) I've also been in love with the new 2012 A6 design since some of the first pictures I had seen. Sealing the deal was a recent training day with the new A7. Part of the training includes time behind the wheel. Since the A6 and A7 have so much much in common, getting to put the A7 through it's paces gave me a really good idea of how the A6 will drive. The interior of the A6 and A7 are almost identical so I was able to get familiar with what the technology and appointments will be like in the A6. As an added bonus, a 2012 A6 just happened to be on hand for an upcoming press event. I have to say, in a more understated way that the A7, this car is going to be truly amazing!
So I've ordered a Phantom Black on black Premium Plus with every option except B&O sound. (I can think of better things to do with $6000!) It should be here in early July and I can't wait! I've also ordered the 20" "5-arm rotor" design wheels separately as they are not yet an available option in Canada for the A6.
She should look almost identical to this once I have the wheels swapped...

Thanks, guys! I am definitely going to have the software upgraded as soon as something is available from Stasis or APR. It better last me more than 7 months! (Good one, Saki.)
Nick, I will happily send the car over. I just need a cheque for CAD $52000!

Actually 36 months ago I owned a 2008 TT 3.2. (That was replaced by the RS4.) I think I may have a problem.
I've been good lately though. The TTS has been with me for 2 1/2 years and the Q5 for 2 years!

$52000... That doesn't quite fit on my student budget. How 'bout you take my '01 A4 and my bicycle?
If you really need to get rid of it, just send it o'er.
Interesting change of Audis you've had. At least you're sticking to the brand. The A6 is beautiful, although not my style, but I still respect it. I hope all goes well.
