New Audi Owner
Dear All,
I have just got my first Audi, A6 4.2, 2008 model, with very low mileage about 6000 Kms only , and still under factory warranty, ( in service date was October 2007) so the warranty will go on 80K or 2011 , Is it worth buying extended warranty for this from AUdi for total 7 years ( I intend to keep the car as I love it) the quote for 7 yrs and 120000 Km which will take me till October 2014 is about 4000 CAD.
Can you advise approximately at what mileage the car starts sort of showing signs oif problems?
I am in Vancouver so not much snow round here.
Thansk for the advice

Re: New Audi Owner
yes, get the warranty if you plan to keep the car. Parts and labour will be very expensive for this model! They won't cover everything, but main components like the powertrain and other electronics and defects will be covered.

Re: New Audi Owner
Audi moving on from the successful styling of its Bauhaus beauties—notably the TT and the previous A6—in favor of a big beak and fresh curves and creases. But like the grille's size, the payoff could be huge.
As far as we're concerned, Audi's styling swing with the A6 is a fashionable move forward.
hmmmmmmmmmm nice car! happy for you!

Yes buy the warranty.
My experience tells me that the major expenses come as following
120 k - wheel bearings, CV joints,
180 k - brakes, AC system, engine leaks
240k - transmission
Yours could be different
