Need advise please.

Hi everyone,

I bought an Audi A6 2008 3.2 from Pfaff Vaughan 2 months ago. The car has 62,000 km on it and is still under warranty. Recently i noticed an issue, the issues is intermittent and cannot be recreated at all times:

When turning hard left or right at really slow speed (5-10km/h) i get a loud woooing noise (breaks are not applied at this point). Usually my breaks do not sqweak but when after this woooing noise happens and i apply my breaks they sqweak.

I'd like to take the car back to the dealer for inspection and tell me what the issue is. Now I know the breaks are not covered under warranty; I do not know if this is breaks issue or something else. I need to be sure whatever is causing this gets fixed and will not cause more problems in the future.

Since the car is under warranty, will they charge me $120/hr regardless of what the issue is (breaks or not)? Should i take it back to the dealer or better go to my own mechanic? I dont want the dealer to look at it, say nothing is wrong and bill me for 2 hours of work. While the issue cannot be recreated at all times, I have a short video clip where you can hear the noise.

Thanks,

Normally, if it's under warranty, they shouldn't charge you anything for inspecting a potential issue. However, it doesn't hurt to ask the service manager. He'll tell you their official answer and you can make your decision from there.

P.S. It's "brakes" not "breaks" :)
