I didn't get a chance to look yet, I will definitely have a look when I get home tonight and update here.

What is interesting though is that I got the specs of my car from the VIN-decoder site and this is what showed up (among plenty of other things):

Multimedia , video/dvd/notebook connection ==> Without multimedia in vehicle
Cd rom/dvd/sd card ==> Without cd/dvd for navigation

But I know for fact that my A6 has the Multimedia - it's written on the unit beside the CD changer: Audi Multimedia and I already listened music from 2 x 32Gb SD cards which i just loaded it with recently.

Hi Cos,
As previously mentioned I had a chat with my local Audi dealership and once the inputted my car details they confirmed that my A6 came without the Nav package. I think you will need to do the same. I asked about installing the Nav package and we are looking at thousands for the factory installed unit. Hope this helps.

I just saw this thread and the MMI version you guys are describing it seems that you do not have the Navigation. If you do not have the navigation dvd player/reader (not sure what else to call it) in the trunk or retrofitted into your glove box you are SOL.

Calgary A6 it is doable to change it and impliment the navigation system at a lesser cost than what the dealer is qouting you. I am local and if you want we can meet up sometime and I can take a look as to what it would take.

Thanks CalgaryA6. Yes, that's what I also heard that it would be quite expensive to install one. Oh well, I have a Garmin - but I hate the cable coming across the
console.

Hi,

I looked at the Warranty and Maintenance booklet and indeed, based on one of the codes there it looks like I don't have the NAV system. Oh well, I will probably stick with the Garmin unit if I won't be able to find a reasonable way to add the car's original Nav system.
I also got the MMI booklet from Audi (was missing from the car when I bought it), and it looks like I have the Radio Plus MMI system (which I think it's the MMI 3G but without the Navigation.

I have the same car and it appears the same equipment. I bought it from a used car dealer who guaranteed that he could install a Nav system which was a mandatory requirement for me. It's a long story but I ended up with no Nav.

I spoke to a couple of dealers and I can't get a straight answer as to what it would take to install a Nav. I don't understand why it's such a big mystery.

I love the car except for this issue. Anyone in Ontario that can source and install a Nav system in my car?
