Info on importing 2006 A6 Avant
 

Hello, just purchased a 2006 A6 Avant and will be importing within a week. All research I have done shows that nothing needs to be done to the vehicle to comply with Canadian standards...Riv and whatnot. Anyways just wondering if anyone has any extra info regarding anything physical on the car that will need to be changed inorder to license it?

I appreciate any info you can offer.

Did you speak with Audi Canada? Is it an Audi certified vehicle in the States?

They do not honour cpo warranty from the US in Canada..I purchased an extended warranty..Looks like verything will be straight forward with no issues.

I just brought an 06 a6 Avant into Canada. I had no problems. There was no extra cost to me other than the duties shipping and requisite inspections. Daytime running lights and conversion to metric are accomplished through the mmi.

The recall clearance letter was easily obtained through Audi USA. It required faxing the old title. They faxed the letter back within 2 days.

The only difference between this car and one sold in Canada is the speedo.

Great car, cost 22k in the US, can't even find one here.
