2006 A6 purchase - help?
Hi all,
Newbie here. Have owned a 2001 A4 1.8T Q for 6 yrs now. Have 241,000km on it and it still purrs. Considering trading it in for a 2006 A6 Avant 3.2 Q with 82,000km. My main concern is the carbon build-up I have been reading about. I have read a lot about US experience, but I was hoping I could obtain a Canadian perspective to guide me through this decision... Is the carbon build up as bad as it sounds? If so, how often will I be expected to do a clean-up? How much $$$ will that run me? Should I get the car CPO'd before I buy it? Will Audi cover the carbon build-up cleaning (it seems not)? The car looks nice, and it has all the options but adaptive cruise and air suspension, which I hear you don't want anyways at 1000$ a shock! Thanks in advance for the replies! |

Nothing helps!
google "FSI gunk" for proof. Unless proven otherwise I would not consider a FSI engine. |
