Where is the chassis number located?

Where is the chassis number located?
I am trying to make sure I'm buying the right windshield washer nozzles for my 98 A6 Quattro. The part I've found says good for up to Chassis number 4A-W-005000 '98. Problem is I don't know how to find the chassis number. Anyone help?

The Chassis Number you listed is the latter part of your vehicle VIN that should be visible thru the lower driver side corner of windshield, usually stamped on firewall and also available from a VAG scan.
Compare your VIN to the posted # and you'll see the last 6 digits are unique to your vehicle, the dashes can represent any character in marked position while the first part of the VIN is not listed suggesting it is common to the platform, possibly something like WAULT6...
