Time and date memory, 2001 A6 4.2
When ever the car is off for 15 minutes I loose all memory data. (Date,Time, trip, milage info)Checked all the fuses, all good. Any ideas on were to look next. Also, the headlight warning buzzer doesn't sound when the lights are left on.

Also, when the key is in position 2, I don't have anything. Once I go to position 3 I get lights and blower fans. Is that normal? I've only had the car for a couple of weeks and never owned (or driven) an Audi before so sorry if it sounds like a dumb question.

Went to the Dealer today, They say the instrument Cluster is faulty. Looking at a $1500.00 replacement cost. Learned something new as well, I didn't know if you hit the power button on the radio it will work with out the key. Good to know.

Did you know: The 4.2 A6 is actually the S6?
The reason: Engines as large as 4.2 litres, isn't really unheard of in North America, so why advertise it as a supercar? Europe, on the other hand, tags this V8 beast with an S6 emblem.
