Hi mbrook69, thanks for your reply, seemingly you are the only lucky one, who got help from Audi, solving your problem. Do you have any idea what happened, who payed for the parts and labor? I have to go and see an Audi dealer here, would be a big help to show them a case when the company took the responsibility for their product. Thanks again, hope you can help us, ifilo.

Hi everyone, my TCM problem got fixed by an Audi dealer in Burlingame, CA. First they told me that I have to pay for it, parts and labor, and I agreed to pay, they special ordered the part, but when I went back to pick up my car, was told that the work is covered by a 7 year 70,000 mile warranty. I contacted Audi USA before and was told that the standard warranty is not going to cover my problem, but in certain states there is an extended warranty on the emission control system. I have no idea of who did and what to contact the warranty department of Audi, but there was a very good result for me: I believe the TCM module failure is considered part of the system. If anybody needs more info, let me know, good luck if you have the same problem.

I have the same kind of problem. in my 2003 Audi a6 2.7t

My question is i cant find the right TCM. I had my local shitty audi dealer diagnose the car and they said I need the TCM 4B0-927-156-FE

the problem is when I look to buy a used one I can only find a different number tcm 4B0-927-156-G

I wasnt sure what the letters on the end indicated. Thanks Robert

Hi 99A403A6, my Audi is an A4 2004, and so I am not sure we can compare the two vehicles, but here is the part number for my TCM modul:8E0-910-155-F. The engine is 1.8 T on the car, so you need to look into the possible difference between the transmissions, I have the CVT transmission.

Suggest to include the full DTC as reported by the scan and include the Audi DTC as well, not just the generic P code. Short to plus / short to ground / open / etc are useful to better understand what is happening. Also is there a drivability issue or not?

P1747 is related to Shifter Solenoid 3 in the Valve Body inside the bottom of the trans oil pan.
