Esp and abs lights are on after installing coilovers.
HI THERE,
I have a 2001 A6 2.7l twin turbo, I have recently installed st performance coilovers. After installing my coilovers i have had some abs lights and esp light come on in my dash. They come up when i go on long drives (30-40min drives) , for them to go away i need to pull over and shut off my car.
Has anyone ever had this problem? Any help would be great.

When installing these coilover i took very good care with the sensors around, no damage was caused to the wires. do you think the lights are on because i lowered it ?
maybe these sensors are going off due to how low the car is sitting?

So I took my ride into audi and asked them to hook up and print out the fault codes.
these are the fault's that i got.
--Vehicle steering angle sensor G85 incorrect signal, completed gff dial and testing, found vehicle steering angle sensor faulty.
-- exhaust temp sensor is faulty.
Now im wondering if the steering angle sensor is going off due to the coil overs i have installed?
I bought the coil overs from cts turbo and they said that the steering sensor is not faulty.

Sounds like you have to align the steering angle sensor, which is in behind the steering wheel. With wheels straight, you have to match up the yellow dot in the right hand corner. A Bentley manual will tell you how to do it.
Should do a wheel alignment if you have not already, after you install, just to keep things straight and your tires to wear even.

So is my steering angle sensor faulty? or would this problem go away after aligning the sensor?

perfect thanks, the other codes i had was for the exhaust gas temp sensors. What would happen if i chipped the car instead of replacing the sensors?
would i be melting components in my car?
