Have to agree with Mikeh. Check for turbo leaks.
Check the Y-boot intake, as this is known to wear and develop cracks. But actually feel the boot. Mine looked good, but squeezing the boot showed it was done.

Re: Audi A6 2.7T
I believe I may be experiencing a similair problem with my A6 Bi-turbo. if I only push the throttle to the point were it takes additional pressure to depress farther, it holds around .7 bar and pulls strong in the higher gears, but once I push past that throttle point the boost drops to about .4 bar and the transmission downshifts bringing the rpms up but with no noticable increase in acceleration. I would like to know what NIKI found since no more replies indicates he fixed the problem.

Suggest to Pressure Test the Intake with the AWE style home made $20 pressure tester to find any intake leaks. Sometimes things like the plastic end caps on the Intercooler tanks begin to leak especially when chipped.
Remove the clamps from the TBB and inspect underneath as TBB like to tear under the clamps, especially the large one on the Throttle Body.
