Re: audi 2.7t problems with jolting in low revs
Need a VAG scan and report any code(s).
Does the jolting feel like misfires? One check is to idle engine and VAG-COM log Engine Block 15 to see misfires on Cyl 1 2 3 and Block 16 to see misfires on cyl 4 5 6.
Could be a number of things like incorrect gap plugs, intake boost leak, vacuum leak, dirty / failing MAF, ignition Power Output Stages on top of airbox, combo of failing EGT and front O2 sensors, etc.

Is your CEL coming on?
I work on several cars so I'm completely sold on the software licensed VAG-COM cable from Ross Tech, should be in the $230 to $350 range depending on your needs, or more $$ for the Pro kits.
VCDS (VAG-COM): Ross-Tech Store
You can purchase a cheap ebay OBD-II cable and use Ross Tech VAG-COM v4.09 (older version). Basic functionality for inexpensive cost for supporting your car but obviously does not have some of the new VAG-COM software updates.
