Ive got an 99 A6 with BoseSymphony.. I've also got two 12" Kicker Subs with a 700watt amp I took out of my old SR-V I'm thinking of putting in ... Should I disconnect the Audi amp? For that matter, what should I do to make sure I don't blow anything?

You can unplug the 4 wire connector to the sub in the trunk, and kep the rest of the car going. There is a 5 channel amp running your car (4 + sub). If you want to run inside speakers off new amp, you have to run new wires to all speakers. Also, all speakers are 2 ohm.

you can either piggy back off the preouts from the headunit in the trunk, or run hi level inputs from the existing sub leads ( or any other way you figure out). Also, you may want to change the headunit to turn off bose equalization with a vag-com.
