My wife hit a pole at work. How do I fix this.
We have $250.00 deductible.

If you go through your insurance they may raise your rates. I'd get some body shop quotes.. it doesn't look too bad.

Just brought in my wife's Honda today for rear bumper estimate. I got hit from behind while stopped. When you look at the bumper there are some scrapes. No denting and certainly not to the same level as your pictures show. The estimate to fix the bumper is over $700.

I suppose the moral of my story is that it doesn't take much to get the costs up there. Looking at your pictures I would say you are at least $500 and it could be well over $1000 depending on the quality of work and the shop you go to.

I hope you and your wife are OK. Neck massager could be a good idea rather now, not later.
Once I bumped into a Honda and they sure have tough bumpers. It felt like hitting a wall of hardened steel.
My injury did not show for 3 weeks, than I had neck pain for 3 months.

We pay only small fraction for insurance compared with Ontario ($1000.00/year both cars insured "nose to toes") so money is not the issue.

My wife does not want to part with the car since we just got our first snow and they race at work with the BMW 4by4 and the bosses Mercedes 4 Matic. (The Mercedes proves to be the best, as prescibed)

She wants me to fix it but I do not know what tools are available.

You have to file a police report first. Go to your insurance. They'll ask for the police report. Then just work out with them where you send it. They will have approved shops or else you can go to another one and get a quote to send to your insurance.

At least that is how I remember it.

If I don't have an idea how to fix it I will go to the 14 St N Station to see officer Ruff.


Common guys - what tools do I use - you do not want me to lose my extras! do you?

Good rule of thumb with Audi's, if you don;t know, the best is to get someone knowledgeable to do it for you (Mechanic, Autobody etc)

If you were to do it your self, the tools you probably need: A Puller, body hammer, plenty of sandpaper of all grits, sanding block, bondo, putty knives, matching paint (air compressor if using a paint sprayer), clear coat, compound/polish, polisher, warm garage, and a keen eye.

Thank you. Finally some real info. This is expensive and I wouldn't know how do work with these tools. Now I know where I stand.

"rear fender" driver side/passenger side quarter panel, and the majority of your damage is on the "dog leg"

so if you take it to a bodyshop they will tell you something like. we have to take off all the mouldings, give there guy repair time on the dogleg, blend into the rear door and paint the quarter. im guessing all around 12-1600$
