Mine was lowered when I bought it, it seems to sit quite nice on Eibach springs and some european shocks (black)

You have the exact same color as my car it looks good. I am a little curious about what size tire and rim you have and how it feels on the road?:thumb:

My car is sat on 19" rims and has 245-35-19 tyres, it handles pretty good really.. I find turn in is a bit slow but would like some fatter roll bars to make it a bit sharper.

I just installed H&R sport with stock shocks on my 2000 A6 4.2. In the past I had the Eibach springs with stock shocks and H&R full coilovers on a 2001 4.2.

The best setup was definitely the H&Rs. If I had the money, Id definitely go that route again. The best advice I can give is make sure you do the shocks with the springs. I thought I could get away with just the H&R sport springs (which have dropped to a perfect height, by the way) but with the stock shocks they feel a bit "floaty".

So, when I have the money, now I have to upgrade the shocks. Im thinking I may go with Koni FSD, but I've heard mixed reviews. Many good ones, but they state they are designed for OEM height, or slight drop.

Anyone have any reviews on the Koni FSD? How was long term reliability?

BTW, Im in the West end by Weston and Lawrence if you want to see the drop in person of H&R sport springs.

How about you, still have it?

My car is lowered using coilovers and recently my steering rack came loose. The dealership told me it was as a result of the aftermarket lowering kit puting stress on the rack and other suspension components. Interesting because the lowering kit was done at a dealership.

Anybody else encounter problems or dealership comment?

Yes still got mine, Recently put the rear "sport" sway bar on and noticed it stays a bit flatter on corners but its far too front heavy to really push hard into corners, having come from a well set up WRX the Audi is more like a Autobahn cruiser.

You are so right...... would love to be able to just cruise all day long at say 100-120 mph on a trip.
