Flasher problem , A6 Quattro '98

I recently bought a 1998 Audi A6 Quattro with 100k miles on it.

Last week my front driver side flasher started to flash quickly , I changed it thinking it was about to die. It was fine for about 1 day then it started to flash quickly again. It's causing all my driver side flashers to flash rapidly , and the front flasher is very weak ( you can barely see it's flashing ). My passenger side flashers are working perfectly. Hazard's works , however the front left flasher is very weak.

What could be the problem? I read about the hazard flasher switch , however it's a 80 bucks repair so I want to be sure.

I need help!

Thank you

Re: Flasher problem , A6 Quattro '98

Replace all the bulbs first. On my A4, the signal will repeat faster than normal if the bulb is nearing it's lifespan. It does this by detecting the amount of resistance in the bulb. It is far less expensive to replace all the bulbs than to replace the entire flasher module.

If you end up purchasing a flasher module then I would recommend purchasing off eBay or any other online Audi parts suppliers rather than purchasing from a dealer. You don't have the high overhead to pay for.
