audi a6 2001 overheats still

Hi guys,

My audi a6 quattro 2.8 2001 would leak and overheat and if it would heat too much, close to 120 degree and I turn the car off all coolant/antifreeze would leak from the radiator.

I had the radiator and coolant/antifreeze reservoir changed and replaced. It still overheats.. What could the problem be?

Also the heat wind is very cold. Before and After the replacement of new radiator and coolant reservoir.

Note. once I fill up the coolant reservoir and then run the car for about 20 minutes, it overheats and I stop the car I see the coolant boiling and the larger hose that goes to radiator gives kicks and it makes noise(seems like its kicking) until the coolant liquid goes down. And now it does not leak fully from the radiator like before.

Most likely a thermostat issue. Other suggestions (but I'd check the thermostat first): make sure your fan kicks on. If it is, then I would point to the thermostat. Also a malfunctioning water pump will not circulate the fluid properly.

If you run your car, crank the heat inside, full fan, that may help ease the temperature.

The reason your car 'pukes' fluid when you stop the car is because the fluid has stopped moving in the engine, but automatically stopping the car does NOT stop the heating of the fluid, as the engine is still hot. The the heating, still fluid builds more pressure and needs to be released, thus the leaking, 'kicking', and weird noises.
