2003 Audi Allroad problem with rpms when starting on cold motor

Hi, I bought 2003 Allroad few months ago, and everything was fine. After a week of really cold days, under -30, when starting up at morning, motor stars fine, however usually ur rpms goes over 1000, like 1200, 1300 to warm up, and then falling down. Its all good in my car however, its just maybe 0,5 second when it stop around 600, 700 and then goes up corectly

It happening only at morning, when motor is cold.

i got a video of this, which is here, its maybe not noticable, however look carefully on the second when it starts.

( new user, double space between http : // you ) - sorry about that, need to solve problem asap, and dont have any other posts yet as a new member

I can do many things on my car, but I have no any special tools except OBD2 reader ( when there is no check engine light on, and no any other lighs appear on), and I went to dealer as well, they asked for leave the car for almost week, of course charging me for 1h every day, without even any guess.

Please, if u got any ideas, what can be wrong, give me some hints. Sorry for my european english

Remember, at that morning temperature the oil is as thick as molasses. The engine works much harder trying to circulate such thick oil. The rpm fluctuations you see on the tach is a result of thin, warmed oil finally reaching your valve lifters, crankcase and most importantly, the turbos.

hmm yeah, i understand this, however if u saw the video, its still make an impression for me, that somethings wrong, i was actually thinking about vacum leak. and its not only rpm gauge, motor make a same running sound as a rpm gauge shows

My 2004 2.7T does not like the cold and does not do 'normal' running until it has time to warm. I would not say let it be, but don't let it taunt you. I would see what happens this summer when there are no -30s if there are any changes.

2.7t's don't like cold starts, I have an S4 that likes to choke on cold starts, on other occasions I have had to pull and replace the plugs because it flooded at start up.

I believe it is an issue with weak coil packs or ICM's when cold
