Well, I replaced the fuse just un case but that wasn't it.

Any one have a clue what might have happened?

I'm a bit nervous in case the wipers quit again and I have to drive in the rain.

 

Wiper motor on its way out; maybe the wiring? Can't say for sure though.

 

Wiper motor or relay, flip the wipers on/off quickly a bunch of times, they will most likely start working again

 

I also have a question. During a snow storm my wipers ended up stopping in the up position, they still work but just stop standing up? Is this an easy adjustment on the wiper motor?

 

My C5 allroad does that, and I think it's the relay. Of course I can't confirm that since it hasn't done it since the replacement relay arrived.
