New Audi Owner
Hi! I should be picking up my '95 a6 wagon on Monday, but before I pay for it I wanted to get some advice. Everything on the car seems to be in pristine condition, I'm very inpressed for the age of the car. The down side of it is that it has 177,000 miles on it. What can I expect from this? I know I may encounter tranny problems, but anything else? The person I'm buying it from says it's all highway miles, his job is to deliver telescopes around NY state. He tells me he just did the breaks, rotors, timing belt and water pump. The break light on the dash is on, he tells me the front driver side sensor just needs to be cleaned. I'm paying $3,500 for this, which is about $3,000 less than kelly blue book, and about $300 less than NADA. From other audi owners, is this a good deal or am I going to be throughly disappointed? I need it to last me at least 3 years! Any advice would be great, thanks!

Price is good but repairs are not I found. Suspension wears out and they will get thumpy and squeaky. Expensive to replace. I havn't had a lot of problems with electronics at all but also heard they're expensive to repair. I wouldn't go buy an old one as my only car though because if cost is a concern, you'll always feel like you're partying on a life boat.
