Default xm/Sirius traffic available...

I have a 2013 Canadian A4 and the "free" xm service has now expired. I have no intension of renewing however; I thought I read somewhere (forum??) about subscribing to the US version of XM/Sirius traffic only. I have a US credit card so that wouldn't be an issue.
Has anyone else (2013 model) tried subscribing to US traffic services?

I told them it was too expensive and never used the service which was a lie since I listen to it all the time. They are willing to deal extensively to keep customers.

I paid $140 for two units for 1 year instead of $500 listed on their website. I plan on doing the same thing next year when it expires.

I am in Ontario and just bought one that was originally sold in California last year. The 1 year audio free trial expired just days after a bought the car, so I called Sirius-US. They were happy to give another 3 month trial and I also learned that the traffic service is good for 4 years. The only issue I have is that I cannot log into my account to reset my password because their website requires a zip code.
