Default Tire/Wheel Road Hazard Protection

Hi All,

I'm picking up my '09 A4 Avant (w/ Sport package = 18" wheels/tires) next week and the dealer has offered a tire/wheel road hazard protection insurance package for ~$800 +tax for 5 years. It would cover repair or replacement costs of my winter and summer wheels/tires against any issues from debirs and/or potholes etc. No deductible, no maximum occurrences.

I'm curious if anyone else has any experience with this insurance product and if you believe its worth the cost.

I don't have much experience with fairly low profile sport tires/wheels so I'm not sure how hard Southern Ontario streets can be on them.

Thanks all for your help

I can't speak to the specific plan, but you would need to have quite a few tire incidents to break even. If you're putting on big Kms it may be worth it.

Also, depending on your driving you may be replacing the tires outright in less than 5 years.
