but not so sure for the future....
Lucky you caught it before 80,000km so you get a free rental while they are doing the work. It will take about a week to fix it. Get them to do replace the PCV and do the software update right away.

It is still burning oil. Told me to try a few thousand kms for the rings to sit properly. 5000km later. It is burning about .85L/1000km, that wasn't the problems.

Audi topped it off 650kms ago and now it is at 50%. They refuse to do another oil consumption test. I have to pay for it on my own...

What can i do?
tilhasbb. On the oil consumption test #1. Do they replace the oil separator , front crank seal and ECM reprogram ?

I'm not sure but I know when I went back to complain it was still burning oil they said they had changed the PCV valve as well.

Just curious as to what made your dealer switch? Was it the oil burning issue?

I guess the dealer I go to is very forward thinking, just trying to help customers. They use Mobil one 0W40 in all VAG 2.0 litre turbo engines at the dealership. I still do not understand those that have this engine and are complaining about oil use, why not try the Mobil oil for 2 oil changes.
I had a VW passat diesel that had problems with the oil chain, and was one of the first to have it changed over to a gear drive in the GTA( not done at a dealer as they ignored the problem or did not admit there was a problem- thanks Brandon!) so that I would not have any problems. I like to drive my cars and if a different oil grade/ brand might solve an issue I have.. well I am on board.

I saw that. I was just wondering if I had Audi Care, what oil do they put in? Castrol 5w40? Audi rebranded Castrol oil?

I've always used 0w30 Castrol in my previous car (E46) and had no issues with the car at all. Kinda regret getting the Audi Care but life goes on.

I have Audi care and then please re read post # 35.. again use Mobil 1 0W40 and bring the oil to the dealer for your oil changes, and if they complain.. tell them "The customer is always right", and in this case if you use Mobil 1 then you will be right. Those dealers want to replace engine parts etc are simply looking for work... this is what they do, first they replace some small things and then they say they have to replace the engine, which is crap. Engines are never rebuilt to the same standards as factory engines. (unless we are talking F1 or Nascar etc.!) Use Mobil 1. Don't people get it???? What's the big deal changing oil brands??? Save yourself a lot of grief.. I prefer to drive the car and see if it in my driveway and not the dealers lot waiting for service.

It's not changing the oil brand. It's the fact I already paid for Audi Care that comes with their own brand of oil that irks me the most. I have no issue with Mobil 1 0w40 or any other brand as long as it works.
