Hi,

I was putting oil in the engine oil tank when suddenly a piece of aluminum foil (piece of plastic/aluminum on the new engine bottle) went inside the engine oil tank. It really tiny like 1/4 of the cap of the bottle.

Am I screwed?

Hopefully that foil will sit on the bottom of the oil pan. It might obstruct flow if it gets close to the oil suction nozzle, depending on how the whole system is set up (I don't know).

Thanks for the reply. I called audi dealer and asked them about it. They said I need not to worry about it. There is a strainer and It will just sit there. The car has been driving fine so far. Although I noticed that engine Levels aren't showing up yet in dashboard yet.

I wouldn't worry about that - after an oil change it can take quite a few days to sort out the oil level. If you want to speed it up, leave your car ignition on but without the engine running for ~10min, and you'll get the level displayed.
