So last week I parked my car across the street from my work (in Toronto), to come outside and find the window smashed with the frame ripped off by some crack head. He also stole my GPS and left a little bit of blood behind as a souvenir. It was my new 2009 A4 Premium with TPckg, only has 7000km. Cost to fix in total will be around $2000.
What a great day that was!

Yea man that totally sucks, especially when you work so hard to own a nice vehicle (and the items in it) and some low life has no respect.

Yea, these days you can't have anything tempting (like a GPS) in plain view.

Yeah I heard people breaking in just for a GPS mount/cradle in hopes of finding the GPS, Keep everything out of view, I know it sucks but its way better then finding out your car was broken into. This is why Audi made our handy drawers underneath the seats

I know and im usually pretty good with hiding my gps, but I was rushing into work and just happened to leave it out. It happened in daylight on a somewhat busy street to. He had alot of guts thats for sure. I also thought the alarm would go off, but nope. With the Audi alarm, you have to open the door for it to go off...

This post makes my damn blood boil. I feel so sorry for you, I hate Toronto, you just reminded me of that feeling.

Boy, if I could swear on this forum....-can you go through insurance?

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but Audi have a sound sensor don't they on the inside? (BMW has a motion sensor, or did I flip that 180?)

so after 2 weeks and a couple of days. i finally got my car back from the auto collision place. They had to send the parts back THREE TIMES, first time because they had shipping damage, second time they sent the wrong parts, and then finally they sent the right ones :S so for 2 weeks i had to drive around in a base model toyota camery a bit different from the audi... lol but i guess i cant complain since at least i had a car to drive.
Oh yea, the damage was over $1500 all for a $200 gps which he prolly sold for 50 bucks!
