Engine's burning oil at a rate of 1 quart a week

Re: Engine's burning oil at a rate of 1 quart a week
My local dealer was fantastic. Mark Motors...Montreal Rd location. Provided a newA4 loaner and had the car back to me in four days. Almost 1000k now and no consumption...was 1.4 Ltrs/1000k prior to the fix. As I mentioned before I am fortunate as this was covered under the CPO warranty at 104000k. I just returned from a business trip that had me put 900k on a hertz Camary! Reaffirmed my love for Audi and German cars let me tell you!! That being said I still think Audi should take care of all of its customers on this one...regardless of extended warranty or not. I would not have been happy to have been on the hook for 3k plus for this repair!

A quick update as promised. Just over 1000k since the dealer replaced pistons and rings and no indication of consumption. Electronic display still showing full! Fingers crossed things are looking good. CPO warranty proving it's value once again!

Hi,
I bought a Q5 2.0 TFSI from a non -audi dealer at this mileage.
Is the oil burning problem coverred by Audi Canada at 115.000K, from 2011.
By the book the warranty looks that ended at 80.000K/3Y
Thank you.
