I have a 2011 Audi A4 TFSI and it is burning oil now then it did when I bought it. I have to add 1L per 3 weeks about at this point and I used to only have to do 1L per 6 weeks before. I also have the error code P2015 which has to do with the intake manifold, looking into that now. Please contact me regarding any lawsuit.

Hi, I am out of the loop on any potential class action law suit. You have a 2011 model, it still should be under warranty if you have less than 130,000 km. Audi extended their warranty on the CAEB 2.0 lt. TFSI engine to cure the oil consumption problem. My suggestion to you is contact your local dealer and also contact Audi Canada. I have almost 9,000 km on my engine warranty repair and all is good, haven't used any oil. Good luck and keep me posted if you need any advice.

Hi, thanks for the reply. According to my mechanic, I have a TSI 2.0 L turbo engine. I called the dealership where I bought my car, but there was no answer in the service department. Left a message, hopefully they get back to me soon. If not, I'll go there on Friday. I have the oil problem and the P2015 error with the intake manifold sensor and I'm really starting to get pissed with Audi. I really like the drive of the car, but these stupid problems are really annoying at this point. I had a 2008 before this one and it also developed an oil consumption problem so I switched it for this one, but I can't believe I'm still have this problem now too.

Hi Thomasp79,
First thing, don't call the dealer, go to them and speak to them in person. Call Audi Canada though. What you need to do is track down is the full service history, Audi Canada will tell which dealerships have performed all the work. You will have to prove ownership though. The more you have the better the case you will have. Even though I was the third owner, it was serviced entirely at Audi dealers. Also, when you plead your case to Audi Canada, speak clear and concise and plead your brand loyalty. They have a CAP, or Corporate Assistance Policy to loyal customers. Remember, the more it was serviced at an Audi dealer the better your case. Keep me posted, good luck.

Hi Appraiserguy1, the 1st owner of the car serviced the car fully at the dealership where I bought it 2nd hand. I am the 2nd owner. I have my own mechanic, so I only serviced it at Audi the 1st time since I still had Audi Care package included for 1 more oil change. All my other oil changes have been done at my personal mechanic, but I do have all the invoices for the oil changes. When the oil level light comes up, I just top it off myself at this point. I will go to the dealer this week to see if they can do anything. This is my 2nd Audi A4 and I do really enjoy driving Audi, but it is getting annoying to have these issues. I'm hoping the dealer comes through, so I we'll see. I'll post the results of my efforts once I get somewhere so others can know too what to do. Thanks for the information.

Hi, I am not involved in any class action lawsuit. I had my 2009 A4 with the 2.0 litre repaired at my local dealer under Audi Canada CAP, corporate assistance program. Message me some info on your car, I will be happy to answer your questions or give you some advice.

I bought a A4 2011 with warranty 3 years ago I realized I was using high oil consumption fro the day I bought the car. I went back to the dealer and he told me it was normal , a few days ago I asked another Audi dealer in service and he told me after verifying my Vin number that this my car was one that needed the diagnosis done but I have to pay for it because I now have 140,00 km , and doesn’t warranty the vehicle. I called AUDI Canada and I get no help I also called service manager where I bought the car and he was very rude and brushing me off with no help , I am very dissapointed in Audi they do not stand by their customers.

Hi Carla, I feel your frustration. Sounds like the first experience I had with Audi dealer as well. If you my previous posts and replies to other forum members, the posts outline how I was able to get Audi Canada to cover 75% of my repairs, piston replacement. What the dealer told me was that I had to get the oil changed, at my cost, and then they measure and document the oil level. Then you have to bring the car back immediately when the oil light comes back on as so they can measure again and document the mileage. Mine was after approximately 520 kms. You will need to obtain all service records for the car. With proof ownership Audi Canada will be able to provide you the dealers it was serviced at. If your car was serviced at the dealer you bought it from it's entire life that should be easy. You will have to review those records to see if it has had the stage 1 oil consumption test done previously. I had to provide Audi Canada those records and speak to one of their customer service reps. When I spoke to them I stated how brand loyal I was and could have bought another make but I wanted an Audi. I know the warranty was 8 years 130,000 km, mine was out of warranty by 10 months but a little sweet talking to the Audi rep, they covered 75% of the $6k cost. Most private mechanics won't touch these engines for that reason. Keep me posted. Let me know if you want to exchange email addresses.

Hi first time on forum,
This is to Appraiserguy1
My wife purchased a 2009 Audi A4 2.0T brand new from a Audi dealership in Calgary. It had a catastrophic engine failure last year, she was driving to Edmonton to visit her father on Fathers Day, 2017, when the engine made a loud bang and the car died, she was in the passing lane of the 4 lane highway to Edmonton and luckily was able to coast to the right shoulder without incident. Prior to this she was having the oil consumption problem that I've been hearing about the Audi dealership in Calgary, Glenmore Audi, said it was normal and didn't offer any tests to determine why it was consuming oil. The oil indicator said she was very low prior to her trip, not sure how long prior, so she filled it up and then had this malfunction. She had it towed to a Audi dealership in Edmonton and they said the engine was toast, no , and would happily replace it for $24,000, the car is only worth about $13,000-$14,000 at most. They then towed it to her Father's place in St. Albert and had his mechanic look at it and told her that he could replace it for around $12,000. Never had it done too damn expensive for something that wasn't our fault. I drove to St. Albert and towed it back to Calgary where it is been sitting in our garage ever since. I have since removed the belly pan to see the extent of damage and have pieces of what looks like either piston or piston arm that went through the bottom and side of block and oil pan. It shredded the starter, actually the only thing left of the starter was some internal wiring looks like it missed the turbo though. We are very pissed off with Audi after they basically brushed off all attempts to get answers to why this happened. My wife is of German descent and loved the car but this has definitely put a very sour taste in her mouth. What can we do? Is there any hope to get some sort of recompense from this?
