Audi 2009 A4 steering wheel vibration - anyone? Help!
Hi guys, does anyone of you have felt any vibration when you are crusing around 100-110 km/h? It happens occasionally and it's very annoying. There are discussions in the Audi Forum
Also, low speed vibration occurs when turning and backing in...I am told it's related to Audi has changed the power steeling into electrionic not hydraulic...is that true?
Thanks

the low speed vs high speed vibrations are two different issues. I'm taking mine in for the high speed one (100-130kmh) on Tuesday for my 2010. I will provide an update here on what they come out with. From what I've read on what happening in the States, it's a potentially long process.

there is no TSB for this issue in Canada according to the service manager at my dealership. The TSB to replace control arms was for US only. Kinda lame.
They are still collecting data from Audi B8 owners in Canada to see how many of them have this issue. And if there is enough they would create a TSB. Right now they are in denial state and this process can take a very long time.
My ride is only 4 months old, can't believe this is happening.

Well as stated above it should be the issue with the steering, although when at higher speeds, it may be brakes. I usually get that when i am doing even some light braking at about 180 k/h. In your case when at such low speeds, it shouldn't be the issue with tires or brakes. This is obvious problem with the steering components.

got the car back finally --- so here's the tally:
RoadForce Balanced 4 corners... found two to be bad, so ordered two new ones.. of the two that came in, one was still bad, so ordered another one.. This morning, the new one came in, but it was the wrong size (wth), so got delayed some more. Finally picked it up this afternoon.. most of the vibration has been corrected .. there's still a faint one, but I'll see how it develops over the coming days (I can still see the front passenger headrest visibly shake)
