About to purchase my first 2010 A4 Quattro 6MT
Hello all,
I am new to this forum, this will be my first post. I am looking to replace my 1997 Honda Prelude SH which I've had for 6 years now. My options were originally BMW 328I XDrive, Lexus IS250, and an Acura TSX. The latter two I know are not as fast or as exciting as the BMW. However, I came across a 2010 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro MT with 48,000KMs through a non-Audi 3rd party dealership that is pretty respectable according to dealerrater.ca (Mark Wilson's Better Used Cars)
What are the first things that I should check when looking at this car? At this year, and at the amount of kilometers, what should I expect to do in terms of maintenance within the next year?
Thanks in advance,
Jeremy

Jeremy,
Check out the oil consumption threads on this forum it would be the first thing to concern yourself with. Talk to the previous owner if possible and as with any used vehicle you're always taking a chance. Carfax report would be a must as well, if the dealer is reputable he should be able to supply one.
Good Luck,
Frank

Aside from condition of interior/exterior, the largest concern would be the condition of the motor. Is the dealer providing you with service records for the car? If the previous owner followed the Audi service schedule, thats about 3 oil changes till now.
Maintenance wise, assuming the 40K service was complete, your next major service interval would be 55K...oil change, spark plugs, all filters, check/replace belts and brake flush.
Not to be negative Nelly here but because it is an used 2.0T, we would highly recommend you have an independent shop check for oil consumption.
