Is it bad seals in the turbos causing the oil leaks?

I own a 2009 A4 2.0, and NO it is not normal to add a litre of oil for 1000k. I have been to 2 Audi dealers and they are instructed to tell you that it is normal to add a litre for 2000k and will copy the page in the manual for you just to prove it. The 2nd dealer offered me the consumption test and yes it is a real pain. Yes they discovered it uses more oil than recommended. Then I had to do another consumption test because they didn't like the way the first one is done. Finally after months of getting the consumption test done, they took it in the shop and just called me today to say they are installing a new engine. Wow!!!! Big problems there! Not sure if this is going to fix the problem, but we'll see. So "shamusom" it is not the dealer, it is Audi giving them instruction what to do with a problem the they are WELL aware of.

A little unethical if you ask me..... I wonder how ethical a company BMW is...... Both companies are so neck and neck in technology and popularity that I'm wondering how sneaky BMW can be...

Anyone?

BMW, I can say is more customer oriented. My husband owns a BMW 335 convertible and they are more professional at the dealership and don't try to pass the buck. They will admit a problem and fix it right away. The service staff are highly trained and I always walk out satisfied, unlike Audi. My next car will be a BMW. However I am stuck with this one for 2 more years under the lease.

Good point Scubajane but just to play devils advocate. Have you or anyone else here heard of a scandal that BMW was trying to keep under wraps like the oil consumption thing?

i saw some response about ECS. They use UPS and they can charge a hefty amount for import fees and what not. I've asked one of the UPS courrier(cp24 ended up confirming this since someone is suing UPS for the ridiculous fees) and said it ends up being cheaper to pay for expedited shipping since it covers those fees already, and its quicker.

Just so you know....

Well there's always Europaparts.com. although their cross border broker fees are pretty high too. What a ****ing money grab!
