Question 17" all seasons...need advice!

Just wondering if anyone had any feedback on the Pirelli P6s 17"...stock tires. Are they really as bad as all the negative reviews on the net? Thanks

I had the 18" P6's on my '08 A4 s-Line and ran them for a 45 month lease all year round. They were as good as one can expect in winter, but I was unimpressed with them in the summer, not much grip as I would have liked. Again it's an all season. The other issue is tread life, I had 53,000K on the clock when I turned in the lease and I was at the limit of tread wear to return the car without replacing the rubber. I'm sure others will chime in but there has got to be a better all season out there.

I have 18" P6's on my 2011 Avant and they're holding up pretty well. They're all season so they've been designed to do everything reasonable well. For the price of aftermarket P6's you can do much better - or get a comparable performing tire for much less cost.

Check out Tirerack.com for the best prices - they ship to Canada - at a better price then you'll get from any local store in Ottawa.

Personal preference - Continental and/or Bridgestone for my Avant (although we just put new Hankook summer tires on her Acura TSX last year and they're doing great - pleasant surprise).

Thanks for the feedback guys. If you google Audi and P6 you'll see a few links to bad reviews on other audi forums...however I noticied in the showroom the other day that Audi is still using these as OEM tires. Now thinking of trading my 17" summers for 18"s...really love the s-line wheels! Thanks again

Lifetime really depends on how you drive - I had the P6 All-Seasons from new and got 78,000km before changing to Pirelli P-Zero. Only done 2000km on them today - No concerns with either tyre.
