Wiring Dash Cam into 2013 Audi A4
Hey guys, new member here
I have a 2013 Audi A4 Quattro
Bought a dash cam...but im not sure how to wire it.
Id like to run it up above the rear view mirror, thru the headliner...down by the windshield side pillar and somewhere under neath the steering wheel to a 12v ignition switch.
The camera connects to a cigarette lighter.....but i want to keep my cig lighter open for other accessories.
Is there a ignition switch or something i can wire it to?
back in my 2001 golf there was a 75x post that i could wire things to.
that 75x post would ONLY turn on when the ignition turned on....and it turned off when i turned off the car...that way nothing was ON when i left the car.
Is there a post like that in these 2013 audi's??
also am i able to take apart the side pillars? it says "airbag" on them....i dont want to pop them off and the airbag go off.
any DIY??? i looked around but found nothing.
