What is this cap for?

Hello!
I am new to Audiforum.ca, signed up a few months back just to read some posts that where helpful. I am now hoping someone here can give me an answer to this. Today after work I noticed on my 2010 A4 that a cap/cover of some sort had popped open on the front passenger side bumper. On the image, the one marked #1 is the one that was open. I closed it with out thinking to take a closer look and could not figure out how to open it again. It was hinged on the bottom, and something was sticking out of the middle of the whole. When I closed this cover, the thing in the middle retracted. I am fairly confident this is not the tow hook, because that is what the circle cap is for. I marked that one #2 on the photo. Sorry for the simplistic explanation, but I was hoping someone can tell me what the cap that I marked #1 is for and how do I open it again (if at all possible). Thanks! |
