Salt, oh how I hate you!
Despite having some great winter mats (weather tech mats), a little bit of salt got on my new A4's carpet.
Any suggestions from other people here who have had to remove salt from the carpet? I've heard 1/2 vinegar and 1/2 water does the trick, but before I start I am seeing if there is a better solution. A certain carpet cleaner, etc.. ? The salt is pretty hard -- it's not just surface, but hardened to the carpet. |

I'd be interested to know too. I have a few salt stains and I'm thinking of soaking the salt stains in warm water and detergent for a few hours.

Vinegar and water has been the best solution I've found. I usually use really hot water and vinegar solution in my home steam cleaning vacuum. It does a pretty good, although not quite perfect job.
