OEM winter tires don't fit, spacers??

Hi first time posting, hope it goes well. Have a 2017 A4 Quattro Technik that came with 245 35 19 tires stock. I purchased used winter tires and rims to put on and ran into a problem. The winter tires are the recommended Dunlop 225 50 17 and rims are off 2014 A4. They are OEM and are stamped with 7J x 17H2 ET46. The rear wheels go on no problem but the front rim spokes hit the brake caliper. I had hoped they would fit my car as I got them for a good price but maybe I have to get rid of them. Should I go with a spacer and if so anyone know how much spacer thickness? Is this recommended? Any help is appreciated, Thanks.
