Thumbs down New car tyre pressure!

Hi, with the weather getting cooler I decided to check our new cars tyres. I was expecting to put some more air in now its a little cooler. I was stunned to find all four tyres were at 45 psi!!! BTW I have the 19 inch wheels on it and the recommended pressure is up to 35 psi.
I am a little shocked that dealer would let a new vehicle go out the door with tyres that have obviously either not been checked or inflated by an idiot!!

Anyone else have issues like this!!

PS I do usually do my own wheel work, inflating, changing for winter etc.

Yes 45 psi is shocking!
Good thing that you found this out at the right time, before your tires started to wear unevenly. I don't check my tires pressure too often but I know I had the right number when I picked up my car.

I think my dealer did the same with the 19's on my 2012. My door jamb sticker shows that they should be about 40 or so, if you look at the owners manual, (at least for mine) gives pressures based on 2 load options, light load and full load - neither are as high as the door jamb sticker.
