Lock doors with car started/advanced key
 
Is it possible to lock your doors from the outside after you've started your car? I have a 2009 A4 with an advanced key and I can't lock the doors. It's been freezing in Alberta and I can't figure out a way to start my car and then lock the doors while I wait inside my house/workplace.
Anyone have info??

if you lock it the other smart key will not unlock. Just an fyi you need the physical key to unlock it. Pop open the back door and hit the lock button on the front and then shut the back door. but be carefull, as you may not be able to unlock the car.

Interesting. Have you tried this? I could try it, but will I be able to unlock my car afterward? Even if I have an extra set of keys on the exterior?

Maybe I will try it with the windows down, just in case it locks me out.
