Brakes - Jerky - before full stop

im lovin' 2009 Audi a42.0T Quattro, but am quite displeased with the brakes.

they are pretty powerful and sensitive, but i find that they are jerky as you come to a full stop. I find it difficult and almost impossible to come to a dead stop and release slightly so there is no last-minute jerk backwards when the car stops completely.

Anyone else encounter this, and what was your solution.

There is some talk of of a TCU update, or resetting the adaptive driving program.? Any comments

Yeah, it's probably an automatic transmission issue, not brakes.

Yes. I now know it is a transmission issue. It does the jerking only while in D. But not in S mode. I will take it in to get looked at again.

Had a TSB applied to the Transmission. After 1000miles, It appears to have fixed the lower gear downshifting. The car is smoother, and this fix has rectified majority of problems. A little jerk is still apparent before coming to full stop. it's not bad. If anything changes, the board will be updated.

There should be a TCM update for that issue. Adaptation value will be reset and new value will be relearn during driving.
