best winter tire package 2009 A4?
Whats the best winter package on a 09 A4. Dealer is recommending 215/55/16, italian brand on rims for $1450.
Simply Tire is at $1230 for a set of Hankook with new replica rims.
Any experience out there? I am in the GTA.

215/55/16 is B6/7 size. 09 is B8 and the proper size should be 225/55/16.

DeMOROlized is right that the B8 runs a larger wheel diameter. I'd suggest staying with the narrower tire and going with a taller sidewall to maintain the OEM diameter.
I just got 205/60/16's for our B8 A4 (tires cost less and will provide awesoome traction).

Alan at Simply Tire is a good guy and provides very competitive pricing. I'd go with the iPikes or Hankook's. iPikes likely better in snow due to tread design as Hankook's didnt do so well on my mom's rwd C240 (I'm sure Quattro would be fine). The Winterforce's on my GF's B7 A4 are very loud.

Wow that's quite a deal you're getting from simply tire. Wheels themselves are ~150$ each, so 600$. That leaves 17" winters for less than 150$ each..

just go mine today w/ Gislaved Nordfrost 5 - $1,340.00 + taxes, quite happy with apperance of wheels

Put them on today.
W300 and reploica rims for $1230, excellent package and service. I highly recommed Simply Tire. In fact I'll be back with my wifes Enclave, the package he offered is incredible.

Speaking of high recommendations...
Got a set of Hankook i*Pike W409 mounted on 17s. As soon as I drove off the lot I felt a instant stick to the road. Didn't immediately notice ANY road noise. At LOW speeds when breaking you can hear some tire noise but it's bearly noticable. The tread design on the tires are increadible. I know they are not H rater tires but I'm not an aggressive driver.
$700 incl. tax (used my stock rims as I plan to get 19s for summer).
If you're interested, the guy is in Markham (Hwy 48 just north of 16th Ave.).
