Audi A4 2014 Progressive
Hi all. The package i got came with 18" wheels. 245/40/R18. I am wondering if i can put the 17" same as the Komfort package on this car? 225/50/r17? Will it affect the breaks or anything else?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Use this link to compare the rolling circumference. The 17" tire you indicate would mean your speedo reads faster than actual. Clearance for the brake caliper is a function of the design of the rim. The 17" equivalent for your tire is 245/50x17.

It's a minor difference so over to you how close you want to get - as I said caliper clearance is likely more of a concern. No other concerns - lower profile tires tend to handle better but have a harsher ride as a result of the reduced sidewall. Many folks use a narrower tire for winters because they cut through snow a little easier. All depends on what you are wanting to achieve.
